WARNING: If you hate when The Cine-Files gets political, then, this podcast isn't for you.
A few days ago we lost the great Hal Holbrook, an actor who has been a mainstay of Theater, TV and Film for more than seven decades. He is most known for two things, the decades he devoted to his iconic portrayal of Mark Twain and a the portrayal of a man who only appears in the dark shadows of an empty parking lot, Deep Throat.
It is that performance in the brilliant, All The President's Men, that we are revisiting today. This episode was originally recorded in April of 2017 and it's no surprise that, in light o everything that's happened since then, Steve and John have a lot to say about journalism, democracy and the devaluation of truth.
