Well, if you've enjoyed our three parts series of the Godfather, and if you haven't listened

to it yet, please do yourself a favor and go back and listen to all three parts.

Steve Morris and I are back this week with our first part of a breakdown and analysis

of the Godfather part two.

At this point, as we're recording it, we have no idea how many parts this movie is going

to be, but we know that we enjoyed the movie and it's one of our favorites.

And certainly for me, it's in my top five, at times top three films ever made, the Godfather

part two from 1974 directed by Francis Ford Coppola.

This continues the Corleone saga and certainly an incredible job by Francis Ford Coppola

to tell two stories mirrored throughout the movie.

The rise of Michael Corleone and his ascension into the rank of being the Godfather and

what he does from this point forward to become legitimate, quote-unquote, in the eyes of America

and how the rise of Don Vido Corleone happened from child into his twenties, into where

he becomes the Don there in New York.

So an incredible film highlighting two phenomenal actors, two legendary actors in Al Pacino and

Robert De Niro.

Of course, the film stars so many more of your favorite actors within it.

And of course, Diane Keaton, Robert DuVal, John Cazale, Talia Shirely, Strasberg, Michael

V. Gazo, Gigi Spradlin, even features some character actors like the late great Bruno

Kirby.

And of course, this film received so many Academy Award nominations, including Best Picture,
