Summary

That Day! At some point, everyone finds themselves with a day, unlike any other day. That day is the day that someone or something that is against you is bigger than you and is in the process of defeating you. On that day, the doctor says that there is nothing more they can do to treat the cancer, the lawyer says that the divorce is final, or the nurse says it’s time to pull the plug because the person you love has seen their earthly life come to an end. When that day comes, you can either get frustrated with God or bring your frustrations to God as an ancient believer did in the tear-stained journal he kept. Through lamenting, we learn to grieve like Jesus and grow to be more like Jesus.

0:41.2	today we're going to be learning to lament on that day. That day inevitably comes for each of us
0:47.2	that day is the day when you realize that your problem is a God-sized problem. This is something
0:53.4	that you can't fix, you can't overcome, you can't change the circumstances or beyond your control.
0:59.4	It doesn't matter if you do better, try harder or push more firmly. It's not going to move.
1:05.8	This is the day when the doctor says it's cancer and we have no options. This is the day when your
1:11.4	boss says, sorry, you're unemployed. This is the day when the person you're dating says, we used to
1:16.5	be dating. This is the day when the divorce attorney says it's finalized. This is the day when
1:22.4	you realize that what you are up against is something that is out of your hands. And that's the
1:29.6	moment that you're hoping, you're trusting, you're praying, you're weeping and crying, that it's
1:33.8	not out of God's hands and you're trying to surrender it into God's hands because it's ultimately
1:39.0	out of your hands. And where we find ourselves in Hebacchic is that day with a man named Hebacchic.
1:44.9	What we're reading is actually in large part his journal where he's in the middle of it,
1:49.3	recording for us how he's feeling, what he's doing and where he's bringing this to God.
1:54.3	And what I really appreciate about the book of Ibacchic and I hope you study it and read it, you can
1:58.2	read it in about 10 minutes. We're going to spend about a month in it. But what I love is it's a guy
