We've been doing a lot of 1911 stuff this week.

I actually was able to get a couple of 1911s to a couple of friends, and they seem to be enjoying them, except for one guy, like the guy on the other end of this microphone in the studio, says, I love the gun, but my wife took it, and I don't think I'm going to get it back.

Yeah, that'll happen.

That'll happen when you let them shoot a good one.

And that's a good thing.

And that truly is a good thing.

So that was fun.

And I've been talking about competition and shooting locally with some folks who kind of come from the self-defense side.

And they got into IDPA and Ipsic shooting.

And they're going, wow, this is fun. And then they found out they're good at it. And so they're turning a lot of heads. Just an awful lot of things going on. It's that time of year that people are sending me emails with pictures of them with all the pheasants that they've gotten and, you know, hunting seasons are opening and, you know, I mean, I got, believe it or not, I just got an email this morning. The guy says, well, what's the difference between a 30-0-6 and a 308 in which is better? You're going, oh, my, oh, my. They both shoot the same bullet at almost identical velocities, and so, ballistically, there's almost no difference.

Don't worry about it.

Typically, the 308 shoot just a smidge more accurately than the 30 out 6, and it tends to be favored by long-range shooters.

But if you can get a deal in either one of them, just do it and don't look back.
