| 0:19.9 | So, hello and welcome to our meditation, and we're during a period of time now, |
| 0:27.9 | for the last couple of months where we're focusing on samadhi. |
| 0:33.6 | And samadhi has this dual characteristic that can seem a little bit like a paradox. |

| 0:43.3 | And that is that there's both simultaneously a feeling of wholeness that arises |
| 0:57.2 | where everything's included |
| 0:59.5 | or a feeling of the mind being quite expansive |
| 1:05.1 | or the mental state |
| 1:06.6 | the awareness being expansive, open, wide, inclusive of everything. |
| 1:16.4 | On one hand, and the other hand, there's a centering on something. |
| 1:22.2 | And that centering can become so central |
| 1:28.3 | that in terms of what we're aware of, |
| 1:33.3 | that's all there's left. |
| 1:35.6 | That the world gets relatively small |
| 1:39.5 | in terms of what we're consciously focusing on |
| 1:43.3 | or centered on. |
| 1:45.8 | And those two things go together. |
| 1:48.7 | So the expansive mind, the whole mind that includes everything, |
| 1:57.0 | is not actually aware of everything. |
| 2:02.8 | And the sense of being centered on something, |
