| 1:01.0 | And I'll begin by referring to the idea that's often taught in Buddhism, that everything is impermanent. |
| 1:03.0 | And what that means in essence is that everything is changing. |
| 1:08.0 | Some things are impermanent because they don't last, |
| 1:12.3 | but some things are inconstant. |
| 1:15.6 | The only thing that's constant is there constant movement and change. |
| 1:21.4 | And when we sit to meditate, we're entering into a world of change, |
| 1:25.7 | a world of inconstancy. |
| 1:28.9 | But this world of change and inconstancy in meditation |
| 1:32.3 | does not have to be random or chaotic. |
| 1:37.6 | We are putting the conditions together |
| 1:41.3 | to where the change that unfolds is a healthy one, is a |
| 1:49.0 | beneficial one, that the change is oriented towards being organized, oriented towards |
| 1:58.4 | gathering together, |
| 2:06.6 | gathering together to be settled instead of scattered, to be organized instead of being fragmented, |
| 2:12.6 | to be centered as opposed to being decentered or, or, and we can feel this movement inside of us, |
| 2:28.3 | sometimes in psychological ways, we can feel physically that we lean towards what we want. We pull back from what we don't |
| 2:39.2 | want. We, the mind wanders off, we say, and it feels like it goes far away. The mind can be |
| 2:46.9 | scattered. The body can be restless, which is a lot of movement. The restless body can be |
