Hmm, good morning. Good day, everyone, and welcome to our insight meditation sitting.

And this is the period of time where the teachings are about insight,

the insight of insight meditation, one of the primary ones,

which is a kind of a deep insight into the changing nature of our experience, into inconstancy, how things change,

how things disappear, they arise. This is a kind of a universal human source for wisdom and

deep understanding of life.

And in a way, the Buddhist tradition puts particular emphasis on it,

that it has a tremendous value for the purposes of liberation or becoming free.

And one of the reasons for that is that any ways in which we

interrupt the experience of change, any ways in which we freeze our experience, or hold

onto it, or reify it, solidify it with how we think, how we perceive.

We add tension to our life.

And that at first just might be attention of trying to hold the river back, try to get into the river and stop the water from flowing,

is not going to be easy. It's going to be frustrating. And it might just be stressful. It might

end up into a major source of suffering to be out of harmony, out of attunement, out of

harmony with the changing nature of moment-to-moment experience. And sometimes I think of it as

a wind-drag that we have a big hands out,

something out the window of a car,

or something that's a big load on the back of the car,

a pickup truck, and it's causing, the wind,
