Deb is going to introduce a very special guest that we can't wait to share with you

Certain unknown really cool books that you really need to add to your reading list

But Deb, why don't you start off by introducing our esteemed guest?

I am so excited folks. We have with us one of the people who got me through the pandemic with us on this episode is my lovely friend

Gwynnevar roller who is the owner of old books on Front Street in Wilmington, North Carolina

More than two miles of books, which we will be talking about a lot as we go along here. So Gwynnevar, welcome

Thank you Deb. It is a joy to get to visit with both of you

And you got me through the pandemic. I don't know if you realize that but you did

You're so sweet because I tell you you know you need a book and or two or 17 to get you through and you need some esoteric topics to study and spend time with

And Gwynnevar was my resource for that as I would go by her store and she would come out to the car and drop

So it's just wonderful and she does ship and we'll be talking more about how you can get books from her

So Samantha, why don't you start us off with some of your questions and thoughts about that particularly wonderful section in the store that you so love as do I

Yes, so there is a favorite section of your bookstore

But before I get into that can you just tell people how you came to own a bookstore and talk a little bit about your love of books in this techno world we live in

So first I should say that I consider my official title to be that I am the managing partner

My partners have have both passed away and it's not my fault that they aren't showing up physically every day

But they are still a big part of this and that's my mom and dad and we are a family-owned bookstore

This bookstore was started in 1982 by a gentleman named Mr. Dottry who was a World War II veteran who moved to Wilmington from Goldsboro

Because he had what they could then call battle fatigue that we would now call PTSD and he got a doctor at the VA
