Summary

We start with a chilling tale of a childhood spent in a house that refused to rest quietly. From trembling beds to shadowed visitors, this story reminds us that sometimes the past doesn’t stay buried within old walls. Then, we journey across the pond for a museum visit that turns unexpectedly dark, where centuries-old stone seems to hold on to more than just history. From haunted homes to spectral pets, unnerving dreams, and even a strange sight in the skies, tonight’s callers deliver a full spectrum of the unexplained. Whether it’s something that reaches from beyond—or a mystery written into time itself—you’ll be left wondering what truly lingers in the places we think we know. Stay spooky and settle in for another unforgettable night around the Campfire. BETTERHELP This episode is sponsored by BetterHelp. Give online therapy a try. I'd say stay spooky, but it sounds like you've

0:38.5

been spooky a long time with that grown up in that haunted house. Tell us what happened.

0:44.7

Yeah, that's right. I think I became spooky before I was willing to be spooky, but now I'm

0:49.7

willingly spooky, so. Yeah, the house, let's see, so the house is a very old house.

We moved in when late 90s, so I was about middle of eighth grade when we moved into this

house.

The house itself was actually built in the 1840s, and it started off as a one-room log cabin. And then they

built on in phases over the years from there. So by the time that we moved in, there were, let's see,

four bedrooms. All the bedrooms were upstairs. And I had my own room for the first time. I was so excited about that. And shortly after we moved in, I started noticing something happening at night. Every time I laid down to go to bed, and I was the oldest of my siblings, so I would usually be

the last child to turn off the lights for the night. And each evening I'd lay down, turn off my

light, you know, get ready to fall asleep in the bed, and the bed started shaking. Oh, boy.

1:59.7

And I actually was prompted to call you because I heard one of your

stories from just a few weeks ago. I think it was Sue from New Hampshire who had a similar

experience of having her bed shaking at night as she was trying to fall asleep. So at first I kind
