Sometimes the most chilling stories are the ones that emanate from our childhood, and such is the story tonight with Jack, who is on the line from Missouri, the show me state.

And he's not going to show us, but he's going to tell us a story that goes back all the way

to when he was seven years old. Jack, welcome to the show. Thank you for joining us and

please tell us what happened. Thank you for having me, Jim. Well, for a little background, I was from

a very young age, a very scared child.

I, but it wasn't actually of the paranormal.

I was scared more of like being kidnapped.

That was, you know, thanks to a Halloween thing at our church.

We had a police officer come in and her Halloween safety thing was telling us all about, you know, don't take candy from

strangers, but also telling us stories about kids getting kidnapped out of their beds.

So that was, yeah, that doesn't sound like it's a good recipe for, you know, that's,

that's kind of interesting. Yeah. So I Yeah, so I was terrified of being alone.

So after that, I just started sleeping in my parents' bed.

And this went on for about a year.

So I heard that, you know, police officer talk when I was six.

And so fast forward a year, and I'm seven.

We're living in Hawaii on the Big Island.

And I wake up one night in between my parents

and something just feels a little off. It's too quiet. At this age, I'm also scared of the dark.
