Hey everybody welcome to the first episode of Story with Ryan Kraus.

If you're familiar with my work from the True Crime Podcast Cole's

Murder Mysteries, then you already know what I do. For everyone else, this might be a

strange cocktail. I like to combine evolution, psychology, sociology, philosophy, spirituality, and much more.

In today's show, we'll be examining the architecture of the 2013 sci-fi thriller,

Gravity, starring Sandra Bullock and George Clooney,

directed by Alfonso Quarone and written by Alfonso Aniono's Quarone.

I chose this title because I think it's a really interesting and relevant story

to our current plight as humans, not only in terms of venturing into the great unknown of space,

but also emotionally.

Our emotional lives are structured in the same manner as our physical existence, on an individual

level as a person, and collectively as people forming humanity.

There's a highly refined synthesis between the origin of the universe and the beginnings

of you and us. Everything starts right in the center, the singularity. The big bang happens at the

center of what will become a universe growing with life. The same thing holds true with a mother's womb.

In certain indigenous cultures, in America it's known as the place of the sacred fire.

In our solar system, it's the sun. In a creation narrative of any

sort, we work outward from the center. That constitutes birth. In stories, however, and in our universe, there are two narratives.

The implicit narrative is the birth, life, and death of our universe,

which covers everything coming outward from the center,

meaning everything being born.

But as living creatures who exist within a universe which has also already been born, we must then endeavor to fulfill
