This is CBS I In The World. I'm John Batcher with Thaddeus Maccaughter American Greatness,

0:09.8

my colleague in co-host and we're joined by Andrew McCarthy of Natural Review Online, discussing

0:16.2

the most recent allegation against former President Donald Trump, this one from Fulton County.

0:22.1

There are other allegations and other indictments to attend in a very crowded calendar year

0:28.5

between now, the Republican debates are beginning within moments, and the election 2024. Thaddeus,

0:34.9

you have a question for Andy. Well, Andy, let's step down. Let's remember, this is a local

1:42.0

but at least they try to vet the person to make sure the person is not going to use his or her

1:47.5

law enforcement powers for partisan purposes. By contrast, in the state system, politics is part of

1:55.2

the, it's woven into the mix, so that, you know, Fannie Willis is probably better thought of as

2:02.7

an elected Democrat than a district attorney, and I think what we're seeing throughout the country

2:07.7

is that in a lot of these blue cities controlled by Democrats, it is simply a good politics

2:15.6

for an ambitious progressive prosecutor to take on Donald Trump. Whether she wins or loses the
