for the 2024 presidential contest,

leading in all polls that I've seen recently and going back some weeks

is the former president, Donald Trump. However,

Thaddeus, I turned to you on this matter because when you come to a trade deadline,

there are some important decisions that a baseball team must make

about improving its chances in the final drive to the pennant

or to the championship of the division.

How does this apply to the Republican Party right now?

Because it would appear on the basis of the polls
