the Washington Examiner in the New York Post. Mananga Hila River, Mananga Hila Courthouse,

Mananga Hila Pennsylvania, always in the news. We go from speaking of Mananga Hila Courthouse

gathering the residents of Pittsburgh to defend themselves from the imagined Robert Uli

coming down the road with 75,000 to Mananga Hila River and the Mahoning Valley, just up river

Selena tells me from Pittsburgh because the Speaker of the House, Kevin McCarthy, is recruiting

and Selena spoke at length with Mr. McCarthy about how he recruits for the 24 cycles.

Selena, Kevin McCarthy and Mrs. Scalice came to Mananga Hila during the 22 campaign.

He is now a Speaker of the House but there was great disappointment with the 22 campaign.

What are his reflections on it? What is he doing now that's different in the Mahoning Valley,

recruiting for the next campaign? He was a very fascinating interview. I hope people

check it out at SelenaZito.com. He really went into detail about how important it was to him

to recruit and recruit. Well, people don't remember this. He was in charge of recruitment in 2010

the year that the Republicans won the historical 63 seats in that year's wave election.

He understands keenly how important that is and he said there's this litmus test that he has.

The person has to have a concrete idea of why they want to run and how connected they are to

community. He thinks part of the problem in the previous in 2022 and those disappointing midterms

was there was not a great year for recruitment. There were a lot of people that signed up to run

who didn't have that fire in their belly and he's making sure that is not the case for 2024.

The election as Speaker was tumultuous according to the headlines. I don't know if that's the way

I played in Washington. However, Mr. McCarthy ironically believes his success and the narrow marginy

has for majority has led to greater achievements in the House to read that correctly.
