Hey friend, it's Kristen. Grab your scriptures. Today we are going to be diving into Abraham

Chapter 3, verse 4. So one day my son asked me, why does time go so fast when I'm playing video games, but it slows way

down when I'm doing chores? Have you ever felt that way? I definitely have. Have you ever wondered

why the times when you're going through a trial seem to just stretch out forever and the good

days seem super, super short? Well, during a period of years when I was struggling through a really

awful trial, it felt like it would never end. Time seemed to have slowed down, like as life got

harder and harder. However, one truth kept me going during this very difficult time. This life

is just a blip in the eternal scheme of things.

The Lord taught this truth to the prophet Abraham, quote,

And the Lord said unto me by the Euram and Themam,

that Kolob was after the manner of the Lord,

according to its times and seasons in the revolutions thereof.

That one revolution was a day unto the Lord after his manner of reckoning,

it being one thousand years, day unto the Lord after his manner of reckoning, it being 1,000

years, according to the time appointed, unto that whereon thou standest. This is the reckoning

of the Lord's time, according to the reckoning of Kolob. Now, that was kind of confusing,

but according to this verse, one of God's days equals a thousand days to us, which means that we have a lot

of eternity ahead of us. Even though our lives might feel long and sometimes incredibly difficult,

we have an eternity of wonderful days waiting for us if we live for it. So the takeaway of the
