Hello, this is Bob. As you may already know, I had throat surgery at the very end of June.

So this is week three of recovery, and I'm feeling pretty good, but I won't tape any new

podcasts until next week when I tape one with Paul Bloom on Tuesday, July 22nd.

And toward the end of that conversation, I'll probably be talking a little about my throat,

which has always been a subject of great fascination to me, and about why I had surgery and

so on. Meanwhile, this week is another golden oldies week. Today we have a conversation from five years ago with the philosopher Preston Green about whether we're living in a simulation and about how we might find out if we're living in a

simulation and whether, as Professor Green believes, it could be a big, even fatal mistake to find out.
