This month, The Awesome Marriage, we're talking about the hard topic of divorce. Here at Awesome Marriage, we want every marriage to work and believe

that God can restore any marriage. But the ugly truth is divorce happens. God hates divorce,

but he certainly does not hate divorced people. Although we don't support

divorce, we want to provide some gospel-centered wisdom for how to deal with it if it comes

your way and if you can't avoid it. Today we're going to be talking specifically about going

through divorce gracefully. So I do want to be clear here. We are not and well not advocate for

divorce, but we want to shed some light and some

hope for people who find themselves there, maybe if they didn't even want to be there in

the first place. We hear from people all the time that their spouse is divorcing them, and there's

nothing we can do about it. So this is a request that we're getting on our regular basis,

and so we want to help those people in those situations. We do truly believe

that God can redeem and restore any marriage no matter the damage. We've seen it done time and time

again and have countless podcasts from true personal stories of people who have faced the unimaginable

and yet come through their marriage restored and built better than new. But we do recognize that some people

do find themselves divorcing and we want to be able to help those people. So Dr. Kim, do you have

anything to add to that before we get started? It's a tough topic. It's a tough topic I've wrestled

with for 30 years as counseling couples. Reality is people get divorced. My goal in counseling when a couple comes in,
