I'm Kaysonger and it's a wonderful Wednesday.

So for today's episode, I wanted to revisit my mindful music segment.

This is where I select a snippet of lyrics from a certain song, and then I discuss what the lyrics

and the song means to me. And as you probably know or can imagine, there's usually

a life lesson involved and or a mention of mindfulness. And as I always say this is my personal interpretation

that you may or may not agree with

and that's okay of course but all the same I want you to open your

mind and perspective just a bit and see what comes up for you okay so here are

today's lyrics.

I can't be bothered making conversation with the friends that I don't know.

So as I stated at the end of yesterday's episode, I wanted to talk about the other end of the spectrum in regards to friendship.

And that's when friendships change or end altogether.

And that's the essence that I feel when I hear these lyrics.

For me, I get a sense that this person no longer has the same connection with the friends that he once knew.

And there's a sense of frustration or even anger or resentment that's present.

I can't be bothered making conversation with the friends that I don't know.

I'm reminded of a client that I once had when I was practicing psychotherapy.

This client, let's call him Kwame, was having a hard time dealing with the changes his

friendships were going through.

Kwame was in his early 30s, as were most of his friends, and he had kind of like a

little crew of friends, about six of them, and it was comprised of both men and women.
