And I'm Antonia Dodge. Today we are concluding the final piece of our short series called Gods in Every Man.

These are the masculine archetypes that show up in men's lives.

It's from a book of the same title written by Jean ShinShinoda Bolin and we just did a series right before this one talking

about the goddesses in every woman, the archetypes that show up, the feminine archetypes that

show up often in women's lives or in the

animus or anema for men or women vice versa how that shows up. If you have no idea

what we're talking about you're a brand new listener and this is the first episode you're hearing. You might want to go back and listen to the first parts of the series because you may be lost because we're going to reference back to some of the other stuff we've talked about. The other archetypes we've discussed up till now and we're gonna at the

very end of this episode weave a narrative together about all the masculine

archetypes at the end of this episode but today're talking about, well let me just put it this

way, two episodes ago we talked about the Sun Gods that were the favorite Sun Gods of

Apollo and Hermes and then the last episode we talked about the Sun Gods

who rejected Sun Gods, Hephaestus and Ares. And in this episode we're going to

talk about the ambivalent Sun God or the the Sun God that was looked at in an

ambivalent way by Zeus and some of the other Olympians and gods and goddesses and

and this archetype or this Sun God is Dionysus. This is the one we're going to discuss today and

continue our conversation around these archetypes. Yeah I've been calling him Dionysus the entire series

but it's actually pronounced Dionysus and the only thing I can say in my defense is

that the first time I ever heard the name was in the the rush album of hemispheres where they sing him as Dionysus and so I've been calling him Dionysus ever since and that's not accurate. It's actually Dionysus so I have a feeling that since I've been

referring to him as Dionysus the entire time will probably go back and forth

like when I remember it's Dionysus I'll say Dionysus and otherwise I'll probably say

Dionysus you otherwise I'll probably say Dionysus.
