What do you feel like you need to disconnect from God from, to be good at?
A lot of people disconnect when they get into relationship
They lose themselves in the world
In the seeming other
In the seeming job
But you can’t break the connection
You can ignore it
You can overlook it
Until Maya does what it does
And it startles you
Or hurts you
Stings you
Pushes you back
Into recognition of what you truly are
It turns you towards the only thing that can make you happy
The one thing that didn’t come, so it can’t go
It’s right here
Waiting for you to hear.
This is the foundation of my spiritual practice. Nothing is worth stopping the practice for.

| 0:33.6 | I was feeling good yesterday, feeling God connected, chanting inside while I was getting dressed. |
| 0:42.2 | And then it was time to put my lipstick on. |
| 0:44.2 | And I noticed as I got really close into the mirror, I wear a red lip and it's a stain. |
| 0:49.6 | So you have to be very careful because if it smears, it's hard to correct. |
| 0:55.4 | And I noticed a chanting stopped. |
| 0:58.4 | The awareness of love stopped. |
| 1:00.8 | It was just complete focus on getting that red lip on. |
| 1:05.0 | And I paused mid swipe, you know, on my top lip and smiled. |
| 1:12.4 | That reflection smiled back at me. |
| 1:15.8 | And I held that love. |
| 1:17.8 | I returned to love. |
| 1:19.6 | I returned to being love. |
| 1:21.0 | I returned to chanting my true name inside as I continued applying that red lip. |

| 1:29.8 | Another blind spot. |
| 1:31.6 | I still have many. |
| 1:33.4 | This unconscious belief that disconnecting from God from love from the practice is the price. |
| 1:43.8 | I must pay to perfect that lip to send that email to read that recipe. |
| 1:50.2 | I need all my Nikki focus to not mess up a recipe. |
| 1:54.6 | I'm not skilled in the kitchen. |
