Summary

(Exodus 30:17-21) The brazen laver, the brass washbasin placed between the altar and the Holy Place, points directly to Jesus and the ongoing work of sanctification. Though our salvation is finished and received once at the cross, sanctification is a continual process that requires confession, self-examination, and reliance on Christ’s cleansing power. wonderful to have a clear conscience? Isn't it great when God gives you a clean slate with him?

1:08.6

That's the heart of God. You see, God doesn't just want to forgive you and give you enough salvation to say,

1:16.5

all right, you can get into heaven now.

1:18.7

No, he wants to cleanse you.

1:20.6

He wants to remove all of the wickedness and all of the defilement.

The sacrifice is finished, but the sanctification is ongoing,

and that's why today we come to God's wash basin.

We're coming to the place that the priest would come to

We must come first to the cross.

But now we come to the second piece of furniture that is positioned just before you would go
