Smith and Callie Black. Hey, it's Callie Black here with today's thought. Let's open up to Genesis

chapter 41, verse 16. A few years ago, someone came by our house at 6 o'clock p.m. completely unannounced with a fully cooked dinner.

As I stood a little bit speechless on the doorstep with absolute chaos behind me and a husband

who still wouldn't be home for a couple of hours, the person on the doorstep said,

I felt a prompting that you needed dinner tonight, and I just had to act.

As I very graciously accepted the meal, I embarrassingly admitted that dinner had not even crossed my mind yet.

I thanked her profusely, but she kept redirecting the praise to the Lord. She said,

he knew I needed help, and she just followed the prompting. I couldn't help but feel overwhelming

gratitude and love from the Lord in that moment. In Joseph's time, everyone started recognizing him as the dream interpreter.

The butler and the baker learned about him in prison and now the Pharaoh was learning about

all of his skills too. But each time that someone tried to label Joseph as the one who could

interpret dreams, he was always quick to

point out, as he does in Genesis chapter 41, verse 16, it is not in me. God shall give Pharaoh an

answer of peace. God gave Joseph the ability to do this.

And Joseph acknowledged this every time he was praised for his gift, and he used that opportunity to help point others toward the Lord too.

So the takeaway of the day, in five words or less, God gets the credit.
