Hey friend, it's Kristen. Grab your scriptures and let's dive into Genesis 39, verses 7 through 8, and 10.

Now, after Joseph's brother sold him to the Ishmaelites, he ended up in Egypt working as a slave in the home of Potiphar.

And as he worked, everything he did was blessed and prospered by the Lord, and he was eventually

promoted to overseer of all Potiphar had.

Unfortunately, Joseph's newfound status put him in the sights of Potipher's wife, quote,

And it came to pass after these things

that his master's wife cast her eyes upon Joseph, and she said, lie with me, but he refused.

And it came to pass as she spake to Joseph day by day that he he hearkened not unto her to lie by

her or to be with her. Not only did Joseph refuse Potipher's wife's advances, he refused to even be with her.

In other words, he didn't just ignore temptation. He avoided it completely. What a great reminder

that we shouldn't just try to fight temptation. We should remove it from our environment completely.

Can you do that today?

Is there a temptation you can take out of your life and refuse to have near you?

So the takeaway of the day in five words or less is, don't go near temptation.
