God is good even when life is not. You have to believe that about him. That's why we are people of faith,

that even when it doesn't look like we have a reason to celebrate him and to adore him and to give him glory that we will muster

ourselves to be able to focus on the goodness of who God is.

God is good.

The measurement of his goodness is not based on how our life is going at the moment.

But it is because of the goodness of God.

Because God is up to something. it is because of the goodness of God.

Because God is up to something.

And he has us on a mission.

And the moment that you're in does not pause the mission that you're on,

you have to realize, God, you're up to something.

And I believe it with my heart. our text today comes from Job chapter 23

verse 8 through 10 in the new living translation of the scriptures there you'll find these words

I go east but he is not there I go west but I cannot find him I do not see him in the

north for he is hidden I look to the south, but he is concealed.

But he knows where I am going.

And when he tests me, I will come out as pure gold.

As pure as gold.

I'm speaking today simply from the subject,
