Here we are at the table live in Los Angeles. This is Michael Robinson. This is Akbar Baj M.A.M.A. I'm Jamie Yurtall. Out of New York sits Peter Schrager and Kyle Brandt. M. Rob, back at the table. We always appreciate having you here. And today is September 11th, of course. It is one of the darkest days in the history

of our country. As a show, we talk football 365 days a year, but that does not mean that we do not stop down and think about New York City and the country on a day like today.

As we turn to honor and remember those who lost their lives in a day of remembrance.

M. Robb, though, Akbar got to speak on just what it has meant to, you know, be a football player in this era since September 11th.

And just what this day means to you, as it is very much a part of our football sports calendar.

Yeah, it means a lot. I know for me, I was a freshman at Penn State at the time.

We had a game that week, and I remember Joe Petunner at the time, just kind of bringing us all in the team meeting room and, you know, letting us know how important this moment was just in American history and how important we were to helping Americans kind of get over what's

happened. And, you know, there was a lot going on and a lot of different storylines and things

like that. But, yeah, it's a day I'll definitely never forget. Absolutely. Peter, Kyle, our show

used to sit right next to that memorial in that building. We would walk by it every day. And it's always important to remember it today. Yeah, look, I remember the one-year anniversary. I remember the five-year anniversary. This is 23 years. And this city still treats it like it was yesterday because we want to remember those who have fallen. I'll say this. Prince Street Pizza, one of the top pizza places here, they always have famous people on the walls.

They've taken down the pictures of all the celebrities on their walls, and they have put up the different firefighters whose lives were lost.

That's going to be that the whole week and maybe even longer.

So this is still such a vibrant city, but it is still such a piece of our city's culture.

Yeah, and as we're looking at some of the ceremonies they're going on now, Peter and I are

still in Lower Manhattan as we speak. I have always been very proud to represent the NFL in New York City,

and never more so than September 11th every single year.

A moment of silence being held just nearby where Peter and Kyle sit, like Kyle just said in lower Manhattan on the anniversary, 23 years of September 11th.

We appreciate the access to that and just to hold it in our hearts in the middle of the week, even though we turn our page from week one to week two in the NFL schedule.

And today we are going to look at a Sunday afternoon game as we head into the lead block of our show.
