We are going to begin here with an ABC News exclusive interview with the attorney for Brian Hooker, the American man who says his wife fell overboard during a trip to the Bahamas, and she spoke with our Victor Okendo, Victor.

Hey Gino, with Brian Hooker back in the United States, we sat down with his attorney to go over

the case, ask about Brian's relationship with Lynette's family, and see if he has any plans

to return to the Bahamas.

Brian Hooker's lawyer, speaking to GMA, nearly three weeks after he says his wife of 25 years went overboard on

their dingy in the Bahamas and has not been seen since.

Would Brian ever physically harm Lynette?

Absolutely not.

Hooker was detained for five days by Bahamian authorities, then released without charges

in the disappearance of his wife, Lynette.

Given how much has been said about Brian Hooker,

is there anything that you would like the public to know,

those who consider him guilty?

I would ask those watching to treat him the way you would want to be treated.

To give him the benefit of the doubt.

after his release. My only focus is to go back to the boat and then hire or beg people to help me

go find some areas to search. Ryan returned to the U.S. hours after that interview, his Bahamian attorney telling us he wanted to be with his terminally ill mother.

Does he have any plans to go back to the Bahamas to help with the search?

I imagine that is where his heart is, but I can't speak on whether or not that's what he will be doing.
