From ABC News headquarters in New York City, this is GMA3.

All right, we're going to start here with millions bracing for a round of severe weather today

in parts of the south following dangerous storms last night in the Midwest.

And Ginger is in hard hit Lebanon, Illinois, with the latest right now, Ginger.

Gio, it's been a really relentless run for the severe storms.

Now, I'm just east of St. Louis.

This is Lebanon, Illinois, where a trucking company had this warehouse or kind of a shed

where they kept a lot of their maintenance stuff.

And the roof is gone.

The severe storms ripped the wall down, and there's just insulation hanging.

There's pieces of this building all over the field near here.

And this is just one spot of the hundreds just in the last 24 hours that have been impacted

with large hail, tornadoes and damaging winds.

So you can see from the video here just blasting winds of 60 plus miles per hour.

This was in Missouri.

But there are so many areas that

were hit with different types of storms. There was something called a Wake Low that brought

gigantic wind up to 77 miles per hour in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, taking drowned trees into cars.

Then it crossed the lake, that Wake Low, making 64-mile-per-hour gusts in West Michigan.

One man was killed by falling tree and the bus that you saw there.

Two students and a driver were trapped for some time with power lines that came down.
