including the latest on gas prices and how long the sticker shock will last. First, the severe weather

overnight and the new threats. Damaging tornado softball-sized hail, hundreds of thousands of

power right now. Ginger starts to soften Lebanon, Illinois. Good morning, Ginger.

Yes, George, we're right outside of St. Louis.

And right behind me, this is a trucking company that had a warehouse.

And you can see the wall was peeled off by those severe storms.

The roof is gone and the insulation just blowing in the wind.

This is one of more than 240 severe storm reports in just the last 24

hours, and we are on day six now of this relentless run of severe weather.

Dangerous storms ripping across the Great Lakes down to the mid-south. At least two tornadoes

reported. Tennis ball size hail in Bloomington, Indiana,

and several rounds of warnings around St. Louis. Just landed in St. Louis, very turbulent,

but now there's a tornado warning here in St. Louis. A ton of lightning around us, so we're

going to pull over to get safe. After the sunset, storms moving into southern Illinois, north of Carlton, terrifying skies

as severe storms sliced across the landscape.

Areas in Clinton County seeing some of the worst damage, some structures destroyed.

In Missouri, wind gusts to almost 70 miles per hour ripping through Springfield.

Holy snow.

And in Ottawa County, Michigan, what's called Awake Low, creating wind gusts over 60

miles per hour, knocking down power lines, trapping two students and a driver inside this school bus,

rescue crews getting everyone to safety.
