We have to talk to you about some like actual medical news. Sorry I have to bring down the mood.

I feel like I feel horrible about it, but it's an important subject to talk about. There's a current measles outbreak.

We're watching these numbers very closely with our medical unit.

Unfortunately in the United States, we're seeing cases rise.

I want to show you a map here to help you understand where these cases are at exactly.

So states like Georgia, Alaska, even Rhode Island, even here in New York City, and most notably in Texas, we're seeing an increased rate.

Texas has right now some of the more recent highest numbers,

and it's an explanation as to why we're seeing these numbers.

If you look closely at Texas in Gaines County,

it has the highest number, about 24 cases of measles,

all of whom are unvaccinated.

And the issue here is that we're seeing also in that same county

the highest rate of vaccine exemptions.

Measles is arguably one of the most infectious organisms that we'll see in our lifetime,

and it requires about 95% of the people within a population to be vaccinated to protect

against it.
