We do begin here with that breaking news overnight, the deal to end the government shutdown, the Senate approving a bill to fund the Department of Homeland Security,

including paychecks for TSA officers. Senior political correspondent, Rachel, Scott is at the White

House with more. Rachel, what's the latest? Well, with after 42 days of gridlock here in

Washington, and after seeing so much chaos at airports across the nation, this is now a critical

step toward ending this partial government shutdown, the Senate, passing this bill overnight.

So what is in this deal? It funds most of the Department of Homeland Security, but it excludes

additional funding for ICE and parts of border protection. Now, Democrats have refused to

fund those key divisions

until Republicans agree to forms that they want to see, including making sure that ICE agents

can no longer wear face masks and also requiring them to wear body cameras. They got none of those

policy proposals in this actual deal. Of course, they were under immense pressure

to strike a deal, as we've been seeing,
