We do begin here on Capitol Hill, where the fight to fund the Department of Homeland Security and end, the partial government shutdown is far from over. Overnight, the House

passed a short-term bill to fund DHS, sending it back to the Senate, where the top Democrat is

calling it dead on arrival. ABC News Senior White House correspondent, Selena Wang, is in Washington

with the latest this morning. Selina, good morning. Good morning to you, GEO. Yes, we are still

stuck in this partial shutdown now on day 43

after House Republicans rejected the Senate's plan to reopen the Department of Homeland Security

and pass their own plan. This new version must now go back to the Senate, but senators have already

left town for two weeks and minority leader Chuck Schumer says this house bill

is dead on arrival. Overnight the House passing a new temporary bill to fully fund the

Department of Homeland Security for two months. On this vote, the EASR 213 and the Naser 203. The resolution

is adopted.

House Republicans plowing ahead with their own plan,

rejecting the Senate's bill to end the partial government shutdown.
