What's going on everyone? Welcome back. Today we are here again with Dan from Crop swap.

Today we're talking about front yard gardens and some of the interesting things that can happen as a result of having one.

Both Dan and I have front yard gardens and you know there's just a lot of interesting

interactions that you run into. I talk a little bit about how I had two elderly women

kind of chatting very loudly to each other about all the different types of produce that were in my garden and I

Fortunately caught it on recording which is really funny to see I think it's on my Instagram somewhere but anyways

Dan and I talk today about that

and about how sometimes gifting is better

than a monetary exchange.

And this has to do a lot with bartering,

trading produce with your friends and family.

So you had a front yard garden, I've had a front yard garden, and I still do, it's just kind of

in the middle of a little fall planting right now.

But one thing that I've been doing a lot of, especially as I struggle

and progress in trying to use all the food that I grow, is obviously you've got to give some

away sometimes, right right and for me I've been giving

gifts of garden produce rather than let's say like a gift card or some cash or you know

what have you and I found that not only is that just a better received gift

but it seems like it it builds a deeper relationship to I don't know what you think about that
