Welcome to our daily rosary meditation. Let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Amen. Let's call to mind all those we've promised to pray for.

We've been meditating on the Our Father.

Now we come to that part of the prayer where we ask God

to give us today our daily bread.

Our daily bread refers first and foremost to the Eucharist to the bread of life that

God provides in daily mass.

In the original Greek, the word daily, Epiuseus, super essential or super substantial.

This refers directly to the Eucharist, without which we have no divine life within us.

For Jesus said, I tell you most solemnly,

if you do not eat the flesh of the son of man and drink his blood, you will have no life in you.

Anyone who does eat my flesh and drink my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day for my

flesh is real food and my blood is real drink. So with this petition we ask our father to give us the

Eucharist every day and he hears our prayer and answers by giving us the Eucharist in Daily Mass.

I get a little glimpse of how God our father might feel.

All parents experience this.

You go to lengths to make a great meal for your kids and then either they don't show up or they don't want to eat it.

I wonder how God our father feels by providing a meal for his children every day and so few come to eat.

St. Faustina writes, If the angels were capable of envy,

they would envy us for two things.

One is the receiving of Holy Communion, and the other is suffering.

Our Father who are tonight offering.
