Welcome to our daily rosary meditation. Let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Amen. Let's call to mind all those we've promised to pray for.

In the Our Father, we pray, forgive us our trespasses. our What I want to know is how did we get talked into accepting that?

I think when Jesus gave this to the Apostles, they should have negotiated back for, wait a minute, forgive

us our trespasses just because we ask.

I mean, why do we have to tack on to this this part about as we forgive others?

Am I the only one who has a problem with this? But the catechism teaches us our petition will not be heard

unless we have first met the strict requirement of forgiving others.

And then the catechism goes on and listen to its phrasing. Now and this is daunting. This outpouring of mercy cannot penetrate our hearts

as long as we have not forgiven those who have trespassed against us.

In fact, in refusing to forgive our brothers and

their sisters our hearts are closed and their hardness makes them impervious to the father's merciful love.

But if we forgive others, then our hearts are opened, ready to receive God's mercy and forgiveness.

Our Father who aren't in heaven, hollow would be your name,

Thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us a stare our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses.

As we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil
