The week ends here by lovers, so grab a deck chair, a pack of merettis, a pink nylon wig,

and a family bag of paprika crisps and head for the roads of Marque, where the group

all will be passing through on route to their finish of around our 5-15 in the evening

in old Fossombrone.

Busseroots will be on diversion throughout the city centre and expect bottlenecks on

all approaches to town, particularly via materie de la resistenza, which will be closed

throughout the afternoon, and to help you through the day.

Well, listen to that after the all-deal of last night's, well, serial horrors

that we encountered trying to get off Grand Sass, so with the cable car Scrum, and then

the hailstorm that nearly ended the world, or certainly that bit of the Italian motorway

that we found ourselves on.

I wake up in Marque, right on the northern border of Marque, around about 10 minutes drive

out in the country in the hills, not far from the coast, and not far from today's stage

finish in Fossombrone, which is a place I've visited quite often, I think, down the years

to Rainier, Adriatico.

And I think we got here about half ten, called to the 11 in the end, pitch dark, following

our satnav off the tarmac road onto a gravel road, and suddenly you get that feeling that

you're going to end up somewhere really special, and we really have, it's this tiny walled

village, which is effectively one Castello that's been lovingly restored and turned into

principally accommodation and little restaurants and cafés and things, it's called the Look

It Up, it's called the Casa Oliva, and it is beautiful, absolutely beautiful, but we got
