the giro is in sound today and so is the rain.

The individual time trial is on the menu today with riders out on the course from 1pm onwards,

so expect congestion and road closures through Ruffio, Fossa and San Maro Pasquale as well

as the Piazza Borgesi.

It's going to be a damp on folks, so it keeps spirits up.

It's early in the morning and we are in Chesanatical ahead of the individual time trial today,

which is just inland in the city of Chesanat, and it as you can tell is bucketing with rain.

I think it's due to clear up later on in the day, but at the moment, pouring with rain

once again in this kind of, yeah, one day on, one day off, one day off sort of giro

detail here in terms of the weather, but a sunshine next day it's pouring.

That's been roughly speaking the way it's gone so far because summer is a tug of war

between spring and summer at the moment that's going on in Italy and nothing is really

settled.

So I do hope for the riders, particularly at the sharp end of the general classification

that it's dry later on.

We got here quite early yesterday, and as a team, the group of people I travel around

with, we don't often get to sit around a dinner table together, but we did last night,

one of our colleague Masi went to university back in the day, 20 years ago, not too far

from here, and used to make his way up here by train for a bit of R&R, because it's

a lovely resort laid out in a sort of grid system, big, very affluent up here, big, detached
