| 0:00.0 | Welcome back to Lenton Rouge Cycling Podcast, the recap of stage five of the Jurydatao from Praia Amare on the coast, |
| 0:07.4 | heading inland north to Potenza. |
| 0:10.7 | This was a breakaway medium mountain stage, one by Cohn Bowman, a similar one back in 2022. |
| 0:18.3 | And we had a similar sort of stage today. We have a 13k 4% climb to start with 10ks at 6% a long valley |
| 0:26.8 | rolling along and then they do the vigano climb 6.5k is 9% quite steep in parts then a rolling |
| 0:35.1 | hill zone on yeah it's like not in big towns or anything and then a rolling hill zone on yeah it's like not in big towns or anything and then a long descent |
| 0:42.3 | of about 20 kilometers before a punch of 300 meters 12% near the finish 4k's and then the finish line |
| 0:50.8 | in the town of potenza the weather todayji, was the worst we've seen since the |
| 0:56.4 | 23-0. Oh, probably. True. It also reminded me of the thiniest stage from the Tour de France |
| 1:05.0 | 2021. Yeah. It was pretty bad back then as well, but it was definitely bad today because I don't think I've seen this much rain in a long time. And I was also seeing my train this morning outside of my house. So I was like, damn, do I live in Italy now? But anyway, I was looking forward to this because with these breakway stage, you never really know who's going to win this. And there were a few riders yesterday, like, Escaroni, where we were like, |
| 1:30.1 | oh, that guy's definitely going in the breakaway. |
| 1:31.9 | But anyway, we did see some control at the start, right? |
| 1:35.4 | I thought Camp and Art Tchilika and little Trek controlling the early kilometers. |
| 1:39.4 | So, yeah, Trek were in a bind today. |
| 1:41.0 | We said yesterday that basically Chaconi being in pink by a narrow margin on bonies, it was actually putting him into prison today in that he would maybe be less able to go in the breakaway. He wouldn't feel like he could in the pink jersey. He's also not there to help G. G is going to ride like for G.C. And he doesn't have the teammates to control the stage. So he was, I think Chaconi was in a bind from the get go. Listen, the day in pink is fine. But when you look at how this stage ended up, he could have won this stage from the breakway, like the perfect stage for him |
| 2:18.4 | from the break. |
| 2:20.3 | Yeah. |
| 2:20.7 | We saw Vismalise of like active trying to get into the breakaway. |
| 2:24.1 | Inios also active. |
| 2:25.8 | They were pulling with Sheffield. |
| 2:27.4 | Like we got to the climb. |
| 2:29.5 | EF were waiting for the climb. |
