But this Jiro stage 18 was the one we've been waiting for from Pinzolo to Logi de Campano. It obviously

had the Stelvio climb, smack bang in the middle of it, not the last climb of the day though,

208 km stage starts off 14.2 km, 5.8% out the door, out the neutral zone, then they had the

casturing climb, 8.6 km at 8.9%, 9% these are all a lot of calories being burnt in the first

third of this stage. Then a long valley flat section before the Stelvio 25 km at 7.5% the Chima

Poppy climb in this year's Jiro, meaning it goes to the highest point in the race up to 2750 meters

altitude, so proper high altitude climb, long, cold descent with many a hairpin down to Izolacio

Validentro, where there was the second intermediate sprint just before the last climb. So bonus seconds

remember, are available in the Jiro the second intermediate sprint of the day, not sprint points.

Then they had the final last final climb of the day, now a hilltop finish, the Tori di Freire,

9 km at 6.8%, a brutal stage, 55-100 meters of climbing, we thought a break was doomed,

just because the best climbers were going to rush to the top here. But there was some interesting
