This is Eta, and today I have with me a cosmetic chemist, author, a lower beauty judge,

and many other hats that you wear.

Ginger King.

It's such an honor hosting you.

I would love it if you could start us off and tell us how you got into beauty and how

you got into the industry and what your background is.

Sure.

I was actually born into beauty because my mom was the first woman.

She brought, she said, from Japan to Taiwan back in the 60s.

But at that time, I mean, I was really just like a baby.

I wasn't really being influenced until later on, I realized that actually the beauty is

in my blood.

So when I came to America when I was 16, I started to like to play with makeup originally.

I want to become a makeup artist, but because of my Asian background, I was discouraged

because I need to go to college if I don't have a PhD at least a master's degree.

So I said, fine, I will learn how to make cosmetics.

So I become a cosmetic chemist.
