Hi guys, welcome back to Skincare Anarchy. This is your most ecta and I'm very, very excited

for our guests because it's very rare that I get to interview surgeons that I really

look forward to interviewing. So without further ado, I'm going to introduce you guys to Dr.

Sybil Val who is a board certified plastic surgeon. She has her own skin care line and I'm

super excited. So welcome to the show Dr. Val. Thank you so much for making the time.

I'm so excited to be going to you tonight. I'm very happy to be here. How are you?

I'm doing wonderful. I would love to get started because I want to know everything about your

background. How are you going to medicine? You know, I think that's one of the things that people

don't really know much about, you know, in the medical field. So I'd love for you to share that

with us the whole journey of you going into your field and your specialty.

Awesome. So I was born in Haiti. By the time I was three or four years old, my mom had relocated to

New York. I have a very, I had a very young mom and she actually was working as a housekeeper

in Westchester, New York. And during the time that she was working, she, you know, was like a

fresh immigrant, you know, didn't speak the language, didn't know the culture, was trying to

navigate these things. And she was really lucky to have had a family that she was working with

and working for that were really kind to her. And remember them from, you know, the age of three,

four, they were PhDs. But obviously everyone called them doctor, including my mom. And they were

my first introduction to the term doctor, to the understanding doctor. And it kind of was always

in the background of my life, you know, that I had these doctors. So by the time I was five,

I was determined to be a doctor as well. I love that difference between, you know, a PhD and an MD.

But in my mind, I as a child, to be a doctor meant to be a medical doctor. And I thought that's

what they were. And that was my goal to be like them. Wow. I love that. I really love that. So how did
