Today, our guest is going to talk about visiting

one of what I think is the National Treasure, Gettysburg Battleground.

He's also the author of the book, The Amazing True Story of Overcoming Abuse and Drug Addiction.

Andrew, man, welcome to Pop Bear Hikes.

Thanks for having me on Martin, I really appreciate it.

Andrew, let's start off by telling us a little bit about yourself.

Okay, I grew up in Southern New Jersey, a town called Morstown, New Jersey,

which is about 15 minutes outside of Philadelphia, and I used to spend a lot of time in

Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. We owned land in two different places right outside of Gettysburg.

It's a place called the South Mountain, and we had property on the mountain,

and we actually had a house in another small area of land down.

When you got down from the mountain, it burned down sadly, but we still went out there

multiple times a year, all through my childhood, and Gettysburg just became a fixture for me as a

child, and it was such a fascinating place for so many reasons that I can't remember a time

going out there. I was a kid, it's hard to find things that keep your attention, but I can't

remember one time going out there and ever being bored, and I can't say that about any other
