I'm so glad you've tuned in today and we've got a fun one for you. This topic we're talking about purity culture and it's funny and shocking and

there's a lot to get into here.

And I feel like purity culture is something

that has affected all of us,

whether you grew up Mormon or in another high demand religion or unfortunately just being a member of society in general, we get a lot of purity culture messaging and we're going to talk about that today.

Laugh about it, break some of it down. I wanted to give a couple disclaimers right off the bat.

The first one is that we are talking about sex. So we're talking about sex. We're saying the names of sex parts. So if you are in the car with your children you might want to wait to

listen to this episode later it's not like it gets graphic or anything like that

but just wanted to give that fair warning. I also wanted to give a

little trigger warning. We don't dig deep into anything sexual assault or really trauma related. However, we do talk a little bit about

Bishop's interviews and confessions when you know you're supposed to confess sexual sins to a bishop.

So if that feels triggering to you,

I just wanted to make you aware of that.
