In our world, it's easy to say yes, and then how often does this happen? You find yourself

wondering, why did I say yes to this? Look at this. It's the worst time in the world. We're going to

talk about being hurried and how to slow things down today. I'm John Fuller, along with Greg

and Aaron Smalley. And Greg, over-commitment.

It happens.

Sometimes it happens, even though we have good intentions.

How about a time when you pulled back or realized, I need to say no?

Yeah, it's been recently that Aaron is in her doctoral program.

She's a dissertation away from being done. So she's

thickened to that. We thought that, since she's going to be in the evenings doing her homework,

how about I'll write a book. So when, yeah, that makes sense because misery loves company. So it

made sense. But I've been trying to do extra stuff around the house

just to give Aaron plenty of time to finish her dissertation. And then you add in travel. You just add

in everything. And children and now grandkids. And then we decided to start to kind of rekindle

our marriage small group, which meant that I would have to lead

that and find content every week to do that.

And somewhere in here, I'm sure you got a puppy.

Yeah, probably.

Oh, but we actually, yes.
