This episode's going to be sort of a PSA.

Someone wrote to me and said,

My husband and I were regular listeners to love and abuse.

He got the workbook, too, I believe.

He came back to me after I filed for divorce after years of emotional abuse and financial infidelity. I never stopped loving

him, and when he came back and insisted that he had changed, I believed him. His behavior

was different for a long time. My friends and family didn't believe it, and I was

determined to prove them wrong. I now know that he really only wanted the stability that I brought to

his life as well as financial stability. As it is now, he's trying to take half my house,

even though he swore he would never do that.

It's all I have and all I've worked so hard for, and I just, I don't have much.

While I believe that some part of him loved me, I think he used what he learned for your show to tell me what I wanted to hear.

I think your podcast is awesome and incredibly helpful, but I also think that

the manipulative people out there, they use it to their advantage. Let my story be a warning to

others. Please keep up what you're doing. I know you always said that the odds are against people

changing, and I'm here to prove it. And I want to thank that person for writing.
