Hey y'all, welcome to the Christian Bay podcast where Christ and Culture Connects. I pray that you guys that you guys see for the title, today we're talking about get and stay in position. And we're coming from the book of Matthew chapter 18 versus three through four. So grab your journals. So y'all know my favorite type of podcast are the podcast where we get to get into a story time. And that's what we're going to talk

about today. So on Monday, I was going to get my hair done. And y'all know it was President Obama Day on Monday. So there was no school. So my niece was at my house with me. And we had just got back from the mall and I needed to come home and do some work before I went to get my hair done. Now, my niece is a 16-year-old teenager.

She loves to be in my beauty room as if it's her room.

I literally have a couch in there that turns into a bed because it's her room slash my beauty room. So sometimes she doesn't want to go with me to run errands. She want to stay here and make TikToks in the room. So I didn't know whether she was going with me to get her hair done or not. So I'm in the bathroom, changing clothes, doing my makeup before I get ready to go get my hair done.

And when I walk in the living room, my niece is sitting on the couch.

She doesn't have the TV turned on.

She's sitting on the couch with her purse, her phone, her shoes on.

She's on the couch.

So I'm walking through the house, going from my beauty room to my room, getting dressed and everything. And then I realized, oh, she's sitting on the couch because she's going with me to my hair appointment. So I asked her like, are you going on me? And she was like, yeah. My hairstylist texted me while I was getting dressed. And she said, can you come 30 minutes later? I'm running a little behind. So I was like, okay. So I went in the living room and I told my niece, oh, instead of leaving at this time, we're going to leave at that time.

And she said, later, I'm running a little behind. So I was like, okay. So I went in the living room and I told my

niece, oh, instead of leaving at this time, we're going to leave at that time. And she said, okay, but she continued to sit on a couch. Now, from my couch, you can see my front door. So I have to come up my room, walk into the living room, and you can see the front door and you can also see the couch. So she was perfectly positioned. Follow me. We're not talking about my knees.

She was perfectly positioned to where whenever the next move happened,

she was in a posture or she was in a position where she could see and adjust or move accordingly.

And when I came back in a room, God began to show me the posture of a child and how children operate.

And why the word of God says, I say to you, this is Matthew chapter 18 and verse three,

I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of

heaven. Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. I told my niece what time we were going to leave. And then I came in a room and I started getting dressed. I was doing different things and working on stuff. I'm just in here getting myself together. She doesn't know exactly what time I'm going to walk out there because I had set a time at first, but then I got a text.

So then eventually I went out there and let her know, oh, the time pushed back.

But it didn't matter to her what time we were leaving to go get my hair done because she was already
