So I want to introduce you to a guy.

His name is George McCleman.

He is a storyteller, but he's also somebody with an aesthetic, a certain kind of design aesthetic

columnist, but he wrote his first book, Illustrated Black History honoring the iconic and the unseen.

It won an NWACP Image Award for outstanding literary work, but it's also very beautiful.

And I am encouraging everyone to build a library of your children or the children in your life.

And this is a good book to have in it because it's pictures, it's illustrated, it is beautiful.

It's a great breadcrumb. That's what I call them. And up next is my interview with George McClellman and why he wrote Illustrated Black History.

i live in san francisco i grew up in new york and i was originally born in the caribbean

the island country of grenada so my people are all over the diaspora and was it new
