Hey everyone, this is Ben Norton, and you are listening to Moderate Rebels.

On May 14th, over at the Gray Zone, we held a live stream to discuss the Israeli bombardment of Gaza.

The Gaza Strip is, of course, the Palestinian territory blockaded by apartheid Israel, where

roughly two million Palestinians live in what is essentially an open-air prison.

In fact, even the former conservative prime minister of Britain, David Cameron, admitted

that Gaza is a massive open-air prison. And in the past

few days, the Israeli apartheid regime has massacred Palestinian civilians killing over 100 people.

Dozens of civilians have been killed. A report from the Gaza Health Ministry shows that 42% of

the Palestinians killed thus far have been women and children. So we're talking about massive

civilian casualties. For this live stream, we had a full house. We had my co-host, Max Blumenthal, and also our two colleagues

at the Grey Zone, Aaron Mate and Anya Parmple. And we were joined by two guests, our good friends and

colleagues, Ali Abonima, the editor and founder of the Electronic Intifada, and also Ronnie Akalik, a friend and colleague of ours,

who is now working at the excellent website Breakthrough News.

So we decided to turn that live stream into a podcast episode.
