The fragile ceasefire in Gaza has shattered.

Israel carried out a wave of deadly strikes on the enclave in the early hours of this morning local time.

The Palestinian Health Ministry says more than 300 people have already been killed, and hundreds

more are wounded.

Dr. Razan Al-Nahas spoke to CNN about the scenes at a Gaza City hospital, where she said

she's mostly been treating children.

It's been absolutely horrific.

Nothing close to anything I've experienced before, patients non-stop. The first two hours, I would say, were the most intense. And the scenes are just

horrific. Babies, children all over the floor, bleeding from their heads, bleeding from their abdomen.

Israel said the strikes were targeting Hamas, and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu

is promising to increase military strength against the militant group.

Hamas has accused Israel of unilaterally ending the nearly two-month-long ceasefire agreement,

while Israel has accused Hamas of refusing to release hostages and rejecting negotiation offers.

The White House told Fox News that Israel spoke to the Trump administration before the strikes.

President Donald Trump is today expected to have a call with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir

Putin.

It comes as Ukraine has accepted a U.S. plan for a 30-day ceasefire, while Russia has said

it's open to it, but it has some demands.

CNN's Fred Pletkin is in Moscow. Now, of course, a lot of that for the Russians pertains to territory. The Russians

essentially want to keep all the territories that they've already taken from the Ukrainians,

and possibly even more than that. Another thing that the Russians also say is that they don't want to see any foreign troops,
