about? We've planted our garlic right and now we need to mulch it now we need to care for it. We've planted our garlic, right? And now we need to

mulch it, now we need to care for it throughout the winter. What am I trying to

think about at this point in the phase of its growth? So at this point, I recommend adding a nice layer of mulch to your garlic.

The mulch does three things.

One, it protects the garlic from, say, animals. Like you had mentioned,

he had some skunk problems. We have a lot of turkeys in our area, maybe dogs or something like that.

So it just kind of gives it a nice protection.

Also, if you're in a cold climate,

the garlic can offer a little bit of insulation sort of like a blanket to protect it. Another thing
