Hey, the bird show. So if you are a parent that is dropping your kid off at school for the very first time today, your nerves are a little frailed right now, right? Pre-K. kindergarten, right? I'm, I'm teetering. We can tell. There are some things that just hits you harder than you ever would have expected.

And I don't want to say I'm having like a hard time with this, but if I'm being honest with myself, I guess I am.

Like this is, this is a milestone that is really just thrown me for a loop at how like emotional I am over it.

Well, sure. It is one of the first major ones for sure where you're turning your child over. You might have done that with babysitters before or your parents, obviously. But now you're turning your kid over and you're not going to see them for a couple of hours and they're going into the education system. That's scary. And that's enough. And the way they're treating teachers.

But, you know, it is a milestone and it's right in your face.

And we are told time and time again, and we're going to be in a second here also that you've got

to really embrace your moments with your kids because at some point or another, life starts

to get in the way.

And they're not in the center in front of you

all the time anymore. But see, what's crazy is he's been doing preschool for the past three years.

So this isn't like a new concept to me. Yes, it's pre-K. Yes, it's a new school. Yes, he has a bigger

backpack so he can fit his three ring binder in it.

And it's just, it's like I blinked. I blinked and all of a sudden we're here.

I was reminded yesterday, because Cassie's going through the same thing today, that you're going

through as well, that there was a poem that was written back in 1917.

Do you know this poem?

Yes.

And I saw it on the schedule and I'm like, you're evil.

You are evil.

It's so beautifully written and it's so true.

But it was written in 1917.

So I'm wondering if we're just so cynical now that it doesn't have the same feeling.
